This song was originally recorded about 5 years ago or more but sounded quite different. The melody and chords are the same and many of the piano ornaments are also the same. However the approach and vibe are very different. When I was pulling songs together for Songs About Sounds, I remembered this song, which is very much about a sound and the emotion I could attach to a word like “Chamade,” which means a drum cadence or trumpet blast sounding parlay.
